 We must begin to deal with our issues head on instead of pushing them down.
 
When we are on a healing journey, we have to be mindful with how we are with ourselves.

  • Be gentle with yourself.
  • Be kind with yourself.
  • Support yourself.
  • Listen to your body.

  
Indicators that you need healing:

  1. You avoid talking about the situation.
  2. You notice you may have feelings surrounding the situation or even just in general.
  3. Sometimes you notice you cannot be your true self.
  4. You repress feelings and emotions.

  
 
Indicators you are healing:

  1. Changing your mindset to be able to see the bigger picture.
  2. Being more in tune with and aware of our triggers.
  3. Not easily triggered.
  4. You can remain calm after being triggered.
  5. You feel that moving forward is a possibility.

  
How to begin healing?

  • Write things down such as what happened, how you felt about it, why you think you felt that way.
  • Talk things out with someone outside of your friend or family circle if necessary.
